Fresh, Unique, Delicious.
This mostly mild chili jam was conceived after we discovered the unique and flavorful Manzano Pepper. Our line of chili jams pairs fresh fruit with unique peppers for a distinct flavor profile that adds savory and spicy notes to an otherwise familiar jam flavor. The Manzano pepper itself is a Capsicum Pubecens that grows in cooler climates and higher altitudes and is native to Peru and now Mexico. It grows to about the size of a small apple and is a vibrant yellow with black seeds. It is one of the truly fruity and sweet peppers and pairs wonderfully with North Georgia Blueberries. We remove the seeds and much of the heat before making this jam, making it a favorite for pairings with cheese and crackers or a breakfast biscuit.
