Sweet, Addictive, Show-stopper.
This Willy Wonka-inspired chocolate bar was created in partnership with Chef Joey Ward, of the Michelin-recognized restaurant, “Georgia Boy”, and was only ever intended to be a limited-edition chocolate bar given out to his diners at the end of the meal. The flavor, however, was a runaway hit with both his customers and ours, so we turned the limited-run flavor into a year-round mainstay of our chocolate bar line. The goal was to create a chocolate bar that is whimsical and approachable in flavor—much like Willy Wonka’s creations—but crafted with the care and artistry that both Chef Joey Ward and Xocolatl Chocolate are known for.
This chocolate bar starts with organic, roasted cacao, organic cane sugar, and organic cocoa butter. We then add Biscoff Cookies (a nod to Atlanta’s favorite airline, Delta, and the famous cookies they serve in-flight) to the chocolate as it grinds continuously for 3 days. Finally, during the tempering process, we stir in hand-made, hard caramel to give crunchy texture to this sweet collaboration between two home-grown Atlanta food businesses.
