Peachy, Addictive, FUN.
I invented Grits Bits after writing my popular all-grits cookbook, “Gone with the Grits”. Buyers at the Atlanta mart kept saying, “Honey, I have your book, I want something with grits I can open up and EAT!” I experimented with some shortbread recipes, adding grits and crushed peach hard candy to the batter but it still wasn’t peachy enough. So I made another batch, then coated them in pulverized peach candy mixed with powdered sugar and VOILA, Y’All!!
Just introduced my latest cookie, “Sweet Georgia Peach”, using my own Peach Bites hard candy. While I always invent my recipes I have always used co-packers as I love marketing and exhibiting at shows. I bought the Peach Bites candy line from a mart vendor.
