In 2008, Ben Kelly helped develop a spiced pecan for use in salads for Cindy Lutini’s Catering Company in the Lake Oconee area. In 2013, Cindy took the product to market, selling at farmers’ markets and specialty gourmet markets in the Atlanta area. At a demo at Buford Farmers Market, the pecans were sandwiched with Gorgonzola and mascarpone and served in a Brussels sprout. It became a fan favorite at catering events and food demos.
