Heat is a mildly spicy cheese with Southwestern flavors of chile, smoked Spanish paprika, and a variety of other herbs and spices. This pasteurized cheese has a semi-firm texture and smoky finish.
Heat has been a food-service favorite for years. We started making this cheese and only selling it to restaurants and Chefs because they needed a cheese like this in their market. We wanted to add something spicy to our profile, but wanted it to be mild enough that the average consumer would enjoy it. Heat isn’t technically super spicy, we like to say it’s more savory and smoky with the oregano flavors shining through. It tastes just like the flavors of the Southwestern United States.
