Our Chocolate Tortoises bring a modern twist to the chocolate-pecan-caramel clusters commonly known as “turtles”. Starting with whole Georgia-grown pecans, we then swirl in our house-made, soft caramel, shaping the clusters into thick rounds, which then get covered in our bean-to-bar made dark chocolate. Each round is topped with flaky sea salt and a roasted, jumbo pecan. The shape of our tortoises (as compared to the original “turtle” shape) make the treat more decadent to eat, ensuring that each bite includes meaty, roasted pecans, sweet caramel and fine dark chocolate, while the pecan garnish on top looks every bit like a tortoise shell!
